Then and Now

This picture was taken by Kent Morrison Photos for The Daily Record. It is the last look of the northeast corner of E. Liberty and Buckeye Streets as it appeared in August of 1966 a few days before the three old buildings were torn down.

Hansons stood on the corner, Liberty Studios, a photography business was in the middle building, and a barber shop was located in the small building to the far right.

After the buildings were torn down it was noted that curiosity seekers found hand-forged square nails in the old broken beams which confirmed that the buildings had been standing at the location for a very long time.
