Did you know the Underground Railroad came very close to West Salem?

The West Salem Historical Society, in conjunction with the West Salem Branch of the Wayne County Public Library, will present a program Oct. 2, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. on the Underground Railroad. Of the many trails through Ohio, two came through Wayne, Ashland, Lorain and Medina Counties to converge in Oberlin, Ohio. Come to learn exciting and surprising things about this time in our local history. The Library is located at 99 East Buckeye Street in West Salem.
