Wondering if guests that attend the Downton Abbey tea will be required to dress in “period”. I was invited to attend from an Amish friend of mine but she did not state that we English folk should dress accordingly. Just need some type of feedback. Thank you!

    • Vanessa, I have been to a lot of these events and period dressing is always encouraged but not required. A nice dressy pant outfit, dress, skirt/blouse will be fine. . . wear a hat if you have one! I will be at this event too but I will be dressing in period style I think. Hope that helps.
