CWRT: Oct. 18th – Ghost Stories of the Civil War

News Release – Wayne County Civil War Roundtable Program (CWRT)
Oct. 18, 2016 @ 6:30p.m.
Wayne County Public Library – Wooster, Ohio

In Continuing with quality CWRT programs, Harold George of Lakewood, Ohio, will present a PowerPoint program on “Ghost Stories of the American Civil War”.  The Civil War was fought on hundreds of battlefields between the years 1861 and 1865.  This resulted in the deaths of more than 700,000 Americans!  During the war, as well as after the war, a number of paranormal occurrences were recorded.  This presentation addresses a few of these “ghost stories”.  Included are stories the presenter himself experiencedfirst-hand as a civil war reenactor while visiting Civil War battlefields.  Insights are provided into the burial practices observed by both Northern and Southern troops.

Harold has spoken several times at our Wayne County CWRT programs and is very accomplished with his PowerPoint presentations.  He also is an accomplished author and lecturer with over 25 years of speaking experience.  He is a long time Civil War reenactor, most recently serving as the Commanding Officer of the 9th Ohio Independent Battery of Light Artillery. All CWRT programs at the Wooster Library are free and open to the public!

This program is sure to put folks in the mood for Halloween!
