The Wooster Community Band is looking forward to their second concert this summer onJuly 24, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Please join us for this enjoyable evening. This concert is sponsored by an anonymous donor for the Wayne County Historical Society, Sprenger Health Care and The Daily Record.

The band will be performing under the baton of Mr. Randy Claes in downtown Wooster in the southwest quadrant of the square. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. If weather does not permit an outside concert, the concert will be held in St. Mary School Gymnasium (across from the Wayne County Historical Society).

We will be playing fun songs – marches, show tunes, and patriotic songs. This band is an effort to remind us of the bands which many communities had back a century or so ago. The Wooster Board of Trade Band with their concerts in the old bandstand on the square was an example of this type of band.

We greatly appreciate the cooperation of The College of Wooster and C.O.W. band directors Nancy Ditmer, Tom Roblee, and Ned Brooks. We also appreciate our sponsors, Main Street Wooster and St. Marys Catholic Church.

The band is open to anyone who plays a band instrument (including percussion), young or not so young, experienced or not so experienced. We are pleased to have about fifty members in the band this year!
