Allen Loew works as a Human Resources Manager for Bridgestone in Akron. He has a strong interest in history, particularly in the Victorian and Edwardian era. His favorite subjects are the Civil War and the Titanic. Loew enjoys taking part in living history events, and practices the art of Japanese Swordsmanship. He is currently serving as President of the Orrville Historical Society.

Loew first became intrigued with the Titanic while going through the Cleveland Press collection at the Cleveland State University Library. He held an original of the last known photograph of Titanic from the collection, and felt compelled to learn all he could about that majestic ocean liner.

Loew is a member of the Titanic Historical Society, and has a collection of interesting Titanic items, including two original commemorative postcards printed after the sinking. Whether you are interested in period music, fashion, culture, or technology, Loew believes the story of Titanic has something for everyone.
