The Wayne County Historical Society’s “Ghost Walk Through History” will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m., on the historical society’s campus at 546 E. Bowman St. in Wooster. Light refreshments will be served. A limited number of tickets are available at $25 apiece and must be purchased in advance.

Come hear the fascinating tales of eight distinguished spirits from Wayne County’s past, including Wooster’s first African American teacher, a Holmesville man whose valor in World War I earned him a Distinguished Service Cross, and a successful businesswoman whose shop was a fixture on the Public Square for more than 50 years.

Tickets may be purchased at the Wayne County Historical Society’s office, which is open Tues. through Fri., from 1 to 5 p.m., or at Murr Printing, 201 N. Buckeye St. in Wooster. In addition to the historical society’s parking lot on Spink St., just north of Bowman, additional parking will be available for these events at the Discount Drug Mart and St. Mary’s Church lots.
