We invite you to tour our grounds and enjoy the fascinating history of Wayne County. Our large campus offers an exciting glance back in time with tours of historic buildings including an 1873 one-room schoolhouse, General Mercantile Store, a ladies dress shop, and more.

Firehouse Relief Co, No. 4 is a replica of an 1800s firehouse complete with antique and vintage fire trucks along with firefighting equipment.

The Kister Building contains a formal gallery with  a permanent exhibition featuring horse-drawn carriages, Native American artifacts, an extensive military collection, a rotating exhibit, and a small research library.

The Beall House, built in 1824 and once home to War of 1812 General Reasin Beall is undergoing extensive renovation but still available to tour.

The Permanent Collection area was added in 2017 after several years of fund raising. It allowed us to have much more of our collection on display.
