The mission of the Wayne County Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and interpret artifacts and experiences that reflect the cultural heritage of the county for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.
Accomplishing this mission is no easy task. It simply cannot be done without the support of our members and the public at large. The vast majority of our funding comes from private donations (including membership dues). In addition, the majority of tasks carried out on our campus are completed by volunteers possessing a love for local history.
We hope you will consider joining the hundreds of existing WCHS members from Wayne County and beyond who realize the importance of preserving our historical treasures.
