The Wayne County Historical Society Summer Community Band will perform a program of marches, show tunes, patriotic songs, and more, on Thursday, July 14, at 7 p.m., on North Market Street in downtown Wooster. Spectators will need to provide their own seating. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the St. Mary’s Church school gymnasium on Beall Avenue and Bowman Street.
The band boasts more than 60 members, aged 12 to 83, and is directed by Randy Claes.
Presented by Main Street Wooster, the concert is sponsored by the Wayne County Historical Society, Sprenger Health Care Systems, and another sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous.
A second concert is planned for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, at Sonnenberg Village near Kidron. In case of inclement weather, that concert will be in the Meeting House on the village campus. The concert is sponsored by Sonnenberg Village.
