The Wayne County Historical Society is all decked out for the holidays, celebrating its 120th anniversary.
Friday December 6th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday December 7th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Adults are $5.00 and children under 17 will be admitted free. Light refreshments will be served in the schoolhouse.

The Log Cabin will feature hand-made or
The Beall – Stibbs house will be featuring a peek inside the lives of the Stibbs’ family through Civil War letters, as well as festive decorations.

Come and take a stroll back in time by visiting the original Santa chair from Freedlander’s Department store, and the jolly man himself, as well as a children’s book tree in the General store featuring a Shirley Temple display with clothing donated by the Buehler family. 

And our special event for children and young at heart is from one of the great story tellers himself –  Mr. Richard Figge reading: “Twas the night before Christmas” at 3:00 on Saturday in the Schoolhouse, with special decorations courtesy of Friendtique.
Each building has unique decorated features you won’t want to miss.

Also the Wayne County Pottery Exhibit will be featured until December 28th.Ornaments on the trees and a special red and green quilt donated by the Buehler family.
